Professionally?
Well for 25 years I've been writing software. The last decade of that has been predominantly for Traders in Investment Banks. Trade Capture & Trade Blotters. That sort of thing.
Now I'm doing more proper consultancy, focusing on helping Investors evaluate the software side of new opportunities. This has been a great experience and I love every minute of it. Meeting loads of interesting people who really make things happen. Helping non-techies see through the bullshit that some people spin has been good too. But the best bit has been helping like minded people come together and see great businesses grow out of that.
