So far back to 1799, with roots to Broseley in Shropshire. Still need to do more research on the Broseley part of the family and to get back a further generation, although this is proving more difficult
For recording purposes I use Family Historian 3.1 and also recently uploaded my records onto Genes Reunited.
Going back to the Broseley connection my G. G. G. grandfather was a Benjamin Amphlett born in Broseley in Shropshire and it was his son Thomas that moved to the Brierley Hill area of the West Midlands.. I have good records of the family from that point forward, but need more details of Benjamins life and family in the Broseley area. Around the 1799 and earlier period, there did seem to be a family of Amphletts living in Madeley, just on the otherside of the Ironbridge gorge, in fact two families who I believe may have been two brothers and there families - are these connected to Benjamins family or ancestors of Benjamin?
Always interested in communicating with other 'Amphletts' .
